Coventry’s annual Peace Festival is returning from Wednesday 1 – Tuesday 14 November 2023.
The festival is designed to highlight Coventry’s role as a City of Peace and Reconciliation and sees a number of events hosted each year including talks, art sessions, gardening, performances, walking tours and much more.
Organisations are invited to submit their own ideas and events relating to peace and reconciliation to create another great programme for 2023.
Local communities are encouraged to take a lead in organising their own activities to involve people from across the city.
Financial support from Coventry City Council is available to groups and individuals wanting to host an event as part of Peace Festival. Grants of up to £250 can be applied for to host an event or activity.
Councillor Abdul Salam Khan, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Events, said “Once again, Coventry will celebrate its role as a City of Peace and Reconciliation with the popular Peace Festival.”
“Communities across the city are encouraged to contribute and join in with the festival through hosting an activity or event, or by attending the festival itself.
“I look forward to finding out about the ideas our local communities put forward for this year’s festival.”
A limited amount of funding is available and all applications must be submitted via the event proposal form by the deadline of Monday 9 October 2023 in order to be considered.
