The Book of Coventry – Book Launch

Join us for the launch of our latest UK ‘Reading the City’ anthology: The Book of Coventry!

Hosted by anthology editor Raef Boylan alongside contributing writers Andrew Davies, Cathy Galvin, Holly Watson and Nirmal Puwar. Featuring readings, signings and chats taking place in Coventry’s fantastic arts space: CommonGround at FarGo Village.

About the Book
Featuring 10 stories by contemporary and classic 20th century writers, including award-winning fantasy author Graham Joyce, much-loved BBC screenwriter Andrew Davies (House of Cards, Pride and Prejudice), as well as new, emerging and established writers: Mez Packer, Adrea Mbarushimana, David Court, and many more. With stories ranging from ghost stories set amid the Blitz, through the decline of the motor industry in the 60s, to the modern, multicultural city it is today.

General Admission + Book (£12): admission to the launch plus a copy of The Book of Coventry.
General Admission(£7): admission to the launch. Your ticket price will be discounted from the cost of a book if you decide to buy.

About the Editor
Raef Boylan is a Coventry-based writer who experiments. He is the Lead Editor of Here Comes Everyone, a Coventry-based, bi-annual literary magazine of poetry, fiction, articles and artwork. published by Silhouette Press. He is the recipient of first class Creative Writing degrees from Coventry University and the University of Warwick. He also organises Fire & Dust (Coventry’s monthly poetry open mic), and is a previous winner of the CU Short Story Award and Frederick Holland Poetry Collection Award, and has been shortlisted for The Big Issue Short Fiction Award. He recently headlined at Positive Images Festival and Earlsdon Fringe Festival, and his spoken word was commissioned for Theatre Absolute’s ensemble production Sphere.
