25th Godiva Festival in Coventry set to be biggest yet

5 July @ 6:00 pm - 7 July @ 7:00 pm

£12.50

One of the UK’s largest family music festivals is set to make its return to Coventry (Warwickshire) this summer, in a three-day entertainment spectacular set to attract 40,000 visitors from the across UK.

Ringing in its 25th year, Godiva Festival 2024 will run from 5 – 7 July, with three headline acts appearing across the action-packed weekend that will take over the city’s vast War Memorial Park.

Former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft will take centre stage on opening night, with pop sensation Paloma Faith leading the line up on Saturday. Midlands soul legend Beverley Knight MBE will draw an end to a bumper weekend of music on Sunday.

Supporting Richard Ashcroft will be Coventry indie rock outfit The Primitives, with Eurovision 2022 runner-up and “Spaceman” artist Sam Ryder warming up the crowds on Saturday.

Festival organisers promise something for everyone including a Friday night drum and bass artist takeover on the Next Stage, and family activities and music to keep kids of all ages entertained in the Family Field on Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday, traditionally known as the festival’s family day, will be filled with free kid-friendly activities including a have-a-go circus, sports events, outdoor dance and street performers.

Councillor Abdul Salam Khan, Deputy Leader of Coventry City Council and Cabinet Member for Events, said: “The 25th Godiva Festival is set to be our biggest yet. The festival has gone from strength to strength over the years, and we are excited to see some music legends perform alongside the best of Coventry’s local talent on our stages once again.

“Our line up perfectly reflects this year’s theme of Worldwide Welcome – we have something for everyone across the weekend. The diversity of the festival caters to all music lovers and that is something we are immensely proud to achieve year after year.”

Standard day tickets start at £12.50, with family day tickets priced from £38 for two adults and two children. Tickets are selling fast, so organisers are encouraging people to book early to avoid disappointment.
