Coventry Opens 5-8 May

Coventry opens images

This might be our last month as UK City of Culture, but it’s just the beginning for our city.

Go online to download the e-brochure and daily What’s on Listing.

There’s visual arts and crafts in galleries and artist studios, shops, libraries, faith spaces, on walls (old and new), in Coventry Market, in heritage sites, at Coventry Railway station, in bars and restaurants, even art being created live before your eyes!

There’s music all over the city – in the usual performance and spaces like halls and theatres, but also in faith spaces, in tents, in the library, in cafes and bars, in shops, pubs with open mics – and on a canal boat! There’s African Drumming and discos, orchestras, acoustic gigs, an all-day rave, and not one not two, but THREE choirs to try.

There’s a world premiere and a piece of walking theatre, there’s walking tours, and theatre in libraries and community centres Plus comedy and spoken word, cabaret, poetry live and on display, museums, and loads of family-friendly entertainment.

Come out and Love Your Local Venue –feel welcomed, try new things, and see how all the investment around the city is bringing joy to residents. Enjoy your weekend!
